 Department of Automobile Engineering Overview

  Heartily welcome to the department of Automobile Engineering at Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering (BOSE) Cuttack. Automobile Department was established in the year 1973. As the head of esteemed department, it is pride and privilege to lead a team dedicated to shaping the future of the automotive industry. Our mission is to foster a comprehensive understanding of automobile engineering while nurturing a culture of innovation, excellence and ethical practice. As we journey towards shaping the future of mobility, we uphold the values of integrity, professionalism, and social responsibility. We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion and collaboration, where students from diverse backgrounds come together to learn, innovates and inspires one another.

  To develop competent disciplined imaginative Automobile engineers equipped with core competency and technical skills useful to the learning/ teaching community and industrial fraternity.

  To provide with operational and technical inputs to get innovative and research ideas in the field of automotive engineering.

  To give inputs for higher education with management qualities for betterment of the society.

  Skilling with modern engineering tools necessary to meet and solve engineering problems.


PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)


PEO-1 :
  To provides technical skills to diagnose and apply the concept of automotive system..
PEO-2 :
 To prepare to design, fabricate and innovate in automobile sector to face the industrial challenges..
PEO-3 :
 To inculcate with good communication skills, ethics and entrepreneurship skills to play key role in automotive industry.

Basic and Discipline specific knowledge:
  Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems..
Problem analysis:
 Identify and analyze well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
Design/ development of solutions:
 Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing:
 Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements..
Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment:
  Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices..
Project Management:
  Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
Life-long learning:
  Ability to analyze individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
